Our client was referred to us by one of our happy customers. The company specialised in wireless telecommunications and was looking to sponsor one of its existing staff whose visa was expiring within two months.
The staff member was very important to the company as she had been working with the company for several years and was an experienced IT specialist, which was a key requirement of the role.
The client faced hurdles at a very early stage, as some of the documents were not in a prescribed format as required by the Home Office.
Our specialist team with several years of experience was able to identify some of the key documents that were relevant to the company and were available to them.
After the preparatory stage, the team proceeded with the submission. The form was submitted online and due to the short period of time available to provide supporting documents, our team ensured that the documents were all ready to be submitted straight after the online application.
Our team prepared a detailed cover letter setting out all the relevant information including the background of the company, the reason for applying for the licence, the details about the company board members and the details about the employee who was being sponsored.
Due to a well-presented application including information about a strong HR system, the Home Office did not feel the need to visit the applicant company and was able to make a decision fairly quickly.
The company received the decision within two weeks and it was good news, the licence was granted to the company and it was given a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) to issue to the employee. We assisted the employee with the Skilled Worker visa and the employee is now working with the company.
