Our client received a job offer from a UK-based company that held a sponsor licence. We had previously assisted the company with its sponsor licence application.
The applicant was offered a Business Development Manager’s role. She had several years’ experience in a similar role, which was the reason for her selection by the sponsor.
The applicant was working for a large organisation in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and had vast experience in dealing with clients from the Gulf countries, which was a key requirement by the sponsor.
Our first step was to identify the correct SOC code for the role. Our client’s job description matched more than one SOC code; however, as per the visa rules, only one SOC code can be allocated in the CoS. Our team discussed the duties with the employer in detail and was able to identify the SOC code that was most closely linked with the job duties.
We requested the specified documents from the applicant in support of her application for the Tier 2 (General) visa, including the CoS assigned by the sponsor.
After a thorough review of the documents, the application was submitted online and an appointment was booked for the client to attend the visa application centre to provide her documents and biometrics.
Within three weeks, our client was granted the visa to enter the UK and she is currently awaiting a flight to come to the UK.
