The Context

Our client had been carefully selected by a university for her post as co-investigator on a research project. She would be working under the direct supervision of the principal investigator at the university. She was seeking an Endorsement from UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), which had recently been introduced.

How We Assisted

The criteria for Endorsement are quite strict and we emphasised that she would need to provide a letter from the university who would confirm that an offer had been extended to her. We advised her that the criteria were not as stringent as was the case for an Endorsement under Tech Nation, which provided some relief to our client.

Having gone through our client’s working profile, we advised our client on the type of documents that would be needed to support the application. We advised her of what points the letters would need to cover, which she found very helpful. The client put us into contact with the university, so that we could advise directly on what was needed for the application.

We prepared the application for the client and submitted the application to UKRI for an Endorsement.

The Outcome

Following a wait of just six weeks, our client was contacted by the Home Office to confirm that the Endorsement had been granted. We then moved to the visa application stage and submitted the application for both the applicant and her family members. The visa was granted after eight days.
